Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Unit42! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Unit42 mobile application and services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Unit42. By using our Service, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 13 years of age
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• You will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws
• You have not been previously banned from the Service

Account Registration and Security

Account Creation

To use certain features of Unit42, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Be responsible for all activities under your account

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in harmful behavior.

Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use

Unit42 is built on trust and respect. You agree NOT to:

Prohibited Content

• Post illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or offensive content
• Share false information, misinformation, or impersonate others
• Post spam, advertisements, or unsolicited promotions
• Share content that violates intellectual property rights
• Post sexually explicit, violent, or graphic content
• Share personal information of others without consent

Prohibited Behavior

• Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
• Engage in hate speech or discrimination
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or compromise the Service
• Use automated tools (bots) without permission
• Create multiple accounts to evade bans
• Manipulate or game the system (fake engagement, vote manipulation)

Local Community Standards

Each community may have additional guidelines. You agree to respect community-specific rules and moderator decisions.

User Content

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you post ("User Content"). By posting, you grant Unit42:

• A worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content
• The right to moderate, remove, or edit content that violates these Terms
• Permission to use your content for promotional purposes (with attribution)

Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your User Content. Unit42 is not responsible for content posted by users. We reserve the right to remove any content at our discretion.

Copyright and DMCA

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content infringes your copyright, contact us at dmca@unit42.app with:

• Description of the copyrighted work
• Location of the infringing content
• Your contact information
• A statement of good faith belief
• Your electronic or physical signature

Privacy and Data

Disclaimers and Limitations

Service "As Is"

Unit42 is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unit42 and its affiliates shall not be liable for:

User Interactions

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. We are not responsible for disputes, harm, or damages arising from user interactions. Exercise caution when meeting people in person.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Unit42, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service

• Your User Content
• Your violation of any rights of another party

Changes to Service

• Modify or discontinue the Service at any time
• Change features, functionality, or pricing

Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Arbitration

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property or confidentiality violations.

Class Action Waiver

Termination

• Fraudulent or illegal activity

• Extended periods of inactivity

Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. Sections that should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations, and indemnification) will remain in effect.

General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Unit42.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.

No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
